 Course Information

The goals of this course were to teach students about the tools and resources a geographer uses to collect field data using 'hands on' methods.  The majority of the course was based on field trips to collect field data and taught students how to use current GPS technology and traditional navigation methods including distance/azimuth methods with a compass and distance finder.
